History/Overview: The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a military medical university in Dhaka Cantonment, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Led by the Bangladesh army, and is under the Ministry of Defence of Bangladesh. A General Medical Division of Bangladesh Army, the commander of the university. There are two types of students. Medical Cadets and the Army Medical Corps cadets. Medical Cadets civilian doctors may be after completion of the course, but MBBS Army Medical Corps cadets to join the Army Medical Corps (AMC) of the Bangladesh Army.
